🌿 “Recipe in hand" blending service - $3

Have a recipe for an herbal tea blend, tincture blend, or powder blend?  We are happy to put this together for you!  See what herbs we carry here  and e-mail us to order at [email protected].

🌿 "Over the counter" formulation service - $10

If you know you're looking for a blend, but don't quite know the exact quantities of herbs, we can help!  For example, say someone suggested you take a blend of dandelion, nettle and red clover as a tea but you don't have the proportions, or say someone recommended valerian and passionflower for sleep but you don't know how much of each.  In these cases, we can have a quick chat and come up with a formulation.  If the conversation is more involved, we'll refer you to a clinical consultation.  Feel free to come on into the shop and talk with a staff person behind the counter for this service, or contact us at 802-540-0595, [email protected].  Customers will need to sign a general release form for this service.

🌿 Client formulations (free for practitioners!)

Are you an herbalist, naturopathic doctor, acupuncturist or other provider that works with clients?  Do you want your clients to recommend an herbal blend for your clients?  We can put together these for you at no cost.  You can see what herbs we carry here.  Go to our practitioner page here to learn how to sign up in our system and order formulas.

If you are a client and have been referred to us, please either ask your practitioner to contact us with the formula, or if you have an exact blend already written out you can e-mail us at [email protected] to order.

Pricing and Jars

Prices of bulk herbs and powders vary by individual herb. The lowest tier of prices for our tinctures is approximately $13+ per ounce for 1 ounce, $11/oz for 2-7 oz, $10/oz for 8-15 oz, and $9/oz for 16+ oz.  Tinctures of more rare herbs (such as American ginseng, Goldenseal, etc.) or herbs that we order from other producers have higher prices, depending on the herb.

Tincture bottles are an additional cost, and we encourage you to bring your own for reuse!  Customers can bring in their own bags and jars for bulk herbs and will receive a discount. We also sell reusable jars.

Return Policy

Items can be returned for two reasons: 1) if they are defective in a way that is caused by a mistake in the manufacturing or processing of the item, or 2) if the item can be restocked and resold.

  • Cash refund is given if the retail items are returned with the receipt within 30 days from the date of purchase. These retail items are either: 1) unused and unopened, in their original packaging, and may be restocked and resold, or 2) proven to be defective.
    • Note: We DO NOT accept returns on bulk tincture or tea. All sales are final.
  • Store credit is given if the items are returned without a receipt within 30 days from the date of purchase. These items are either: 1) unused and unopened, in their original packaging, and may be restocked and resold, or 2) proven to be defective.
  • No refund is given if the items are returned with or without a receipt more than 30 days from the date of purchase, OR  items are used and/or the packaging has been opened and there is no verifiable defect in the product. No refunds can be given for herbal formulations put together by a staff herbalist or outside practitioner once they have been picked up and paid for, unless there is a proven defect in their manufacturing or processing.
  • All sales are final for classes. No refunds will be issued.
