Our mission is to nurture individual, social, and ecological health through herbal medicine.
Railyard Apothecary is Burlington’s local herbal apothecary. We are a worker-owned co-op with a primary goal to provide high-quality, affordable medicinal herbs and health education to the Burlington community and beyond. All of our herbs are from organic and/or sustainable sources, either from local farms and forests, or from international organic distributors. By partnering with local farmers, wild-crafters, and educators we hope to serve as a hub for the herbal community in Northern Vermont.

Project Hand Salve
Project Hand Salve is a community sponsored collaboration between local herbalists and herbal businesses to bring hand salve to our valued front line workers. We know that folks' hands are desperately dry from all of the extra washing and sanitizing required in these times, and that a good herbal hand salve is one of the best ways to moisturize and protect dry skin. Help us get these salves out by donating to our project.
Your donations directly purchase these salves at cost for a worker in need. All salves will be distributed to nurses at the UVM Medical Center and several local farm crews here in the Burlington area.
Here's how it works-- you donate money to the project, and for each $1.15 that you give, one essential worker will be gifted an herbal hand salve.
One salve: $1.15
Five salves: $5.75
Ten salves: $11.50
Folks involved via donation of time or materials: Railyard Apothecary, Spoonful Herbals, Rachael of Joyride Pops/Alkame Co, Pepper Lee CBD, Dancing Root Apothecary
