In this online class we will explore ways to introduce your child to the plant world while also teaching herb safety and respect. We will discuss methods and stories and then we will explore some herbs that have a history and affinity as children’s herbs. Finally we look at preparations of herbs that kid friendly and delicious. Class will be geared towards children birth to 12 or so. Jessica is a mother to seven (now grown) children and raised them in the fields and gardens with the plants.
Jessica Churchill is a worker-owner at Railyard Apothecary in Burlington, VT. She offers clinical herbal consultations for folks who are seeking to get pregnant, are pregnant, or are postpartum, as well as people navigating life interrupting health events such as cancer, autoimmune disorders and chronic illnesses. They are always excited to introduce children to their plant ancestors and support other parents to do the same.
