In-person at Railyard Apothecary
Learn to make up for the lack of sunshine by cultivating the inner light with herbs.
Some herbs that bloom during the height of summer have a long history of use for elevating the mood, including St. John's Wort and linden. It seems as if they have captured that energy of the sunniest days, and when we preserve that fresh plant material and then later consume it we can invoke a feeling reminiscent of that time of year.
In this class we'll discuss some of these plants, and how we can consume them in forms such as tincture and tea throughout the darker months to maintain a positive outlook as we anticipate the warmer days ahead.
Taught by Nick Cavanaugh. Nick is a clinical herbalist and one of four co-owners of Railyard Apothecary. His training included a three-year clinical training program at the Vermont Center for Integrative Herbalism where he graduated in 2016. He's been working at Railyard Apothecary since then.
