Localvores seeking vibrant health and prevention of heart disease, cancer, and other chronic illnesses can look no further than their own backyard or neighborhood farm!  Join herbalist Katherine Elmer to hear about the power of familiar plants and fungi to restore and maintain wellness.  Share your favorite uses and learn new ways to prepare them in your home or for your farm customers.  Discuss how we all can support a healthy environment and food system through place-based natural medicine.

A full menu of locally-harvested and wild-crafted superfoods will be provided through a collaboration with the Montpelier-based "Heavy Dream" pop-up restaurant (available until 6pm).

Cost: Sign up by July 24, and the cost will be $25, which will include a vegetarian, gluten-free dinner. Sign up after July 24 and the cost will be $15 and will include some samples (dinner will not be available after that date). Please indicate any dietary restrictions.

Heavy Dream is a Pop-up restaurant located in Montpelier, VT at Grian Herbs Apothecary on Mondays 12-6. Our menu features all local, vegetarian fare with an emphasis on wild-crafted foods. We wholeheartedly believe in the power of 'Food as Medicine’ and strive to provide these foods at an accessible price for everyone. We want to start new conversations about our current food culture. Our food directly reflects the time of season and, as a result, our menu changes weekly.
