Welcome!
This is an informal, lightly facilitated gathering to explore what it means to be a man in this shifting, changing world. It is a space to connect, share, be seen, and a place to grow and heal.
The event could include: whole and small group sharing and discussion, interpersonal and relating activities, movement, and self-reflection/solo-time.
Our purpose is to build healthy relationships with ourselves and each other through the exploration of the male identity, the systemic and societal influences impacting us, and through embracing and sharing our stories. The hope is, we will continue to grow into *men who have the courage and strength to: embody vulnerability and intimacy, practice safe and effective communication skills, respect and honor the boundaries of others, and embrace consent based engagement and touch. In doing so we will begin to heal the wounds enacted on ourselves, each other, and the world by the unhealthy system of patriarchy, and toxic masculinity.
*Man/men: a person or persons who is male/man identified. This recognizes gender is a construct, and some persons may identify with different gender/sex roles at different times. Due to limiting nature of words and language some individuals may not feel included by the terms and descriptions above.
This is a by donation event.
Suggested sliding scale of $5-15.
Any contribution, or lack thereof is welcomed.
No one will be turned away due to money.
This event is intended to be for persons who identify as male/men. This is an attempt to be help men resource themselves and each other, not as exclusion.
