Winter is coming. Time to prepare!
Cold and flu season can be a challenge to our immune systems, but luckily there are many herbs that can keep us healthy, many of which grown abundantly nearby. Whether to prevent getting sick, deal with colds and flus, or recuperate from longer illnesses there are many simple remedies that can be of support.
We will discuss herbal teas, tinctures and syrups, and will give a hands on demonstration of making elderberry syrup. Participants will get to take home a sample.
Taught by Nick Cavanaugh. Nick is a clinical herbalist at the Burlington Herb Clinic and a staff member at Railyard Apothecary. As a clinical herbalist, he works with clients in-depth on health challenges that they face, such as digestive discomfort, mental or emotional imbalance, or chronic illness. He is a graduate of the Vermont Center for Integrative Herbalism's 3-year clinical herbalist training program. Learn more about Nick at www.nickherbalist.com.
