Nature abounds in and around our urban landscape! Discovering the abundance and diversity of ecosystems helps us to better understand ourselves, our communities, and the land. In this series led by herbalists from Railyard Apothecary, you will explore the wild areas close to Burlington and the medicinal plants that call these spaces home. Learn how to identify and harvest herbs and use them as medicine!

Join community herbalist and educator, Kara Buchanan, co-director of Spoonful Herbals, at her Rooted Heart Rising medicinal herb garden located at Rock Point in Burlington.

For this chapter in our Urban Landscapes class series, we'll gather in the garden to meet the plants in a cultivated setting and talk about some that grow well in our area and some of the special considerations when gardening with medicinals.  Bring a drinking vessel to enjoy a freshly picked glass of iced herbal tea.  Rain or shine.

Cost: $15
