Learn how to preserve and prepare plants in your kitchen and acquire the skills to build your own herbal medicine chest! Over the course of three classes, we will cover the basics of using water, oil, vinegar and alcohol to create herbal preparations suited to your needs using familiar ingredients and herbs. Come to one class, or all 3 for a discount!

Class 1 WATER: will focus on infusions, decoctions, steams, and compresses and the herbs best suited for each.
Class 2 OIL: will focus on infused oils, salves, and lotions.
Class 3 ALCOHOL AND VINEGAR: will focus on making tinctures using a variety of solvents.

Taught by Emma Merritt, clinical herbalist at the Burlington Herb Clinic. Cost is $20 each class, or $40 for all three.
Students get a 25% discount with a valid student ID (contact us for details).
